After you become a college student, you can join as many clubs as you want.（呃，你現在還是個高中生嘛。等你上大學後，你想參加幾個社團都可以。）◎ I can't make up my mind. 我沒辦法下定決心。Make up one's mind 的意思是「下定決心」。如果已經下定決心的話，就可以說 I've made up my mind.（我已經下定決心了。）A: I'm not sure if I should study for a master's degree or find a job after I graduate. I can't make up my mind.（我不確定我大學畢業之後該不該念碩士或是去找工作。我沒辦法下定決心。） B: Maybe you can ask your parents for suggestions. I believe they will help you.（也許妳可以請父母給些建議。我相信他們會幫妳的。）◎ I'll give it a second thought. 我再考慮一下。雖然 second thought 字面上的意思是「第二種想法」，但其實真正的意思是「三思」。A: Are you gonna quit your job in October? I heard our boss would like you to stay and give you a raise.（妳真的十月要辭職了嗎？我聽說老闆想留妳下來然後給妳加薪耶。）B: Yeah, the boss just had a talk with me yesterday. I'll give it a second thought.（嗯，老闆昨天剛跟我談過。我會再考慮一下。）◎ weigh one's options 權?Weigh 是「秤重、?量」的意思，option 的意思則是「選項、選擇」。所以 weigh one's options 的意思就是「權?」。A: Hey, which elective subjects are you going to choose? （嘿，你想選哪些選修課啊？）B: I'm not sure yet. I have to weigh my options. （我還不確定耶。我得權?一下。）◎ make a decision /decisions 做決定A: Oh, God.
